Yes your fan is a 2 star oscillator. So not only do you need the gears you also need the right oscillator wheel. The brass one you have is for a later 1920's fan. I do not have any of these parts but someone on here might. The pick I posted is how the back of your fan should look. To see the other type search (Brass bell oscillator) on this forum.
