Look at the rope tubing and arms at GrandBrass.com. I usually bend the rope tubing around a pipe to get a large radius. Get a 1/4" IPT die (or NPT) to thread the tubing.
You can also copper plate the brass parts and use liver of sulphur to oxidize them. An antique socket is best, as it is brass. New solid brass sockets have a plastic coating that you need to remove before plating. Your sidewinder would be best with the clamp-on fitters (shade holders) and not the post-1920 screw-on UNO fitters.
