That is a nice fan with the bakelite base, but this is not a rare fan. the base was changed a bit later and it was made in various colors all the way to the early 1970s with same blade and slightly different grilles. They are nice quiet runners , i agree with the fellows polish it up and keep it for sentimental reasons, but they arent particularly valuable. They were made in prolific numbers over the decades...
