Tell your wife it's cheaper than air conditioning.

I WILL win this auction. Please guys, I don't have one of these. I would REALLY like one in my collection so please refrain from bidding.I can't believe one is actually on eBay that isn't already owned by Kim, Rene, Geoff, Tim, or Steve! Simply amazing. Although, I really do wish it were the 8 wing version...

Even if it was mounted to the top of a plasma TV, it's still a pancake! What if you find out later that there was one prototype pole mount made.

Here's my opinion on this beautiful pancake on a pole. I like anything thats on a pole. I would rather worship this and throw my dollar bills at it while sitting in my home then wasting my dollar bills at the local strip club watching some chunky cakes swing around a pole. Just sayin.

Hi Tom!
I do believe it is a dress form stand. I have a couple of them. And with plans to mount a fan to it. A tank motor to be exact!

Even at it's current asking price, the sum of the parts is worth it....new replacement costs..... blade = $250, cage = $250, struts $60, tag = $75, stator rewind $150, rotor = $100, trunnion and motor housing $50, oil return = $40, oil reservoir = $85....and you still have the stand.

I wonder if antique dress stand collectors are looking at an eBay dress stand with a low fluted base and wondering.

Hi James! Those tanks are in various stages of repair, restore, refurb, redo, upscale, steampunk, or wutever. Next to early Emmy's the tanks are just cool!  Geo...

ps. Tanks were really very well built. It seems there are quite a few around which proves the point. My favorite tank is my double lever westy!

I've seen the Fort Wayne Electric one in the galleries but I didn't know G.E. had a dragon fan.
