Hi all,I realize that most of your fans are table top and oscillating, but I found this Small ventilating window fan to be very cool. It's got that 1950's atomic look. I think my dad had a 57 Chevy that color too! Also remind me of the starship Enterprise It's an American Blower Ventura Model A, style 10-A. It was built in their Columbus, Ohio plant, because their is an inspection stamp on it. I would like to know the approximate age. The ink inspection stamp has a number 032151 on it. I agree it's kind of cool and is a neat 1950's color. There are many of us that like fans other than just desk fans, but I know less about the "industrial" fans than let's say window fans of the same era. But I would say yours is probably 1950's. Not sure about the ink stamp, but it could very well be the date.

I have never seen one like that, and the mind boggles at the design and the logic behind it. I too would clean that up and make sure it is restored if it cant be cleaned, I have no idea if you will see another!

I would definitely restore that exhaust fan! That's a great find. I would think someone with a groovy 1950's garage or shop would like like that. Someone that does car restorations, etc. would like the swoopy rocket look of that fan. I think it is very cool looking and think someone with deep pockets would want that one restored ... metal flake, pearl, and or flames!!!

I definitely recommend restoration due to rust. Remove all electrical parts and such, then sandblast, prime, paint, and clearcoat the parts. Be sure to do light coats of each and sand slightly between each coat. Good luck, definitely worth it as it is a sweet fan!
