I have a very good running GE 2 star for sale. The paint is still pretty good and there are 3 different speeds so the coil still works. I replaced the too heavy cord with a more appropriate gauge. The headwire was replaced with more modern rubber cord. In any case it runs great and will clean up to look great too.
Sale price is $150. I had it listed on ebay but the winner was a deadbeat and didnt pay or even contact me and then canceled their ebay account.

I replaced the cord with a more appropriate gauge. Its still a 60's era cord so you might want to put your own cloth cord with a correct era plug on it.

I pulled the cage and blades to clean them today and it turns out that the S wires on the cage are brass while the cage rings are steel. That should look pretty cool if the brass is polished and the rings are dark green.

I'm going to price the fan at $180 with the more unusual cage. I greased the gearbox and it runs perfectly with very balanced blades.

I was cleaning up the brass S wires today and polished the motor tag a little more to clean it up and noticed that the tag itself is NOT brass. Very interesting.

Price is reduced to $150 with free shipping east of the Mississippi. West coast residents may have to add a few $$$

I should clarify a little... I think it looks like it is nickel plated. It may be brass but I doubt they plated brass tags.

My two star has brass s wires with steel rings too, and it has a nickel plated blade, not sure if my blade is original or not.
