search this site for a wiring diagram of your fan, your speed coil might need rebuilt-- there are a number of people that can do that for you ,Lawrence

How many wires go to your switch via the headwire from the motor? If you have three going to each speed terminal at the switch and one to the power cord, your fan doesn't use a speed coil.

If your headwire has four wires, the speeds are wound into the stator / motor. 3 wires for 3 speeds and 1 for the common.
