Russ, Didn't you just need the neck? Only showing you what I thought you were looking for.

Chad Baker wrote: Russ, Thanks for your trouble, Chad, I must have a rare bird. So far NO ONE including Geoff can cough up a DC pressed steel model 13-15 either 12"or 16" . ANYONE? If you have a pressed steel Diehl with a set of brushes up front please post it would you? Then I can at least say I saw one complete.

Somewhere I missed the fact that you were looking for identification of the rarity of your fan...I thought you needed a neck. Sorry for the confusion.

That was the title of the post, and unfortunately mine is a DC. Your AC base switch would have to be modified. I just can't believe there is not one 12" DC stump out there? Thanks again for trying, Chad. I need the rear cover, base with intact neck, and nichrome switch Anyone?

Has research confirmed that the base with an intact neck from an AC is different then that of the DC? And a rear cover is different from AC to DC? I think you said your brushes are in the front? Thinking the back covers would be the same.

Maybe someone does have a 12' DC stump and may come forward yet to help me out? And maybe not, but time will tell. I am in no rush. ![]()

Russ Huber wrote: I just can't believe there is not one 12" DC stump out there?I can believe it. It seams that there are just not that many DC fans out there. I think I have the only 16" GE DC 3 star oscillator that I know of. And GE changed the way they where wired from year to year. One that is just a couple years newer than mine has special holes in the front housing for the wires to go to the brushes. Mine just feed out of the large hole in the front of the motor (No special holes for the wires) I think all I have seen that is close to mine is a 220 volt DC but mine is 110. I have been looking for another example like mine for 4 years and not seen one yet. Good luck on your search. Last edited on Mon Jan 15th, 2018 10:54 pm by Don Tener |

I am still in need of the base, switch, and rear motor cover for a 12" DC Diehl stationary pressed steel desk fan motor. If anyone comes across a stump of one of these you can part with let me know. Thanks.

Russ, They are out there. I once owned a complete version of this fan but sold it several years ago. I've seen several examples at least good for parts since then. I'd offer to buy it from you and put you out of the misery of searching but I have 5-6 DC fans already that all need "something". And usually something I haven't been really active in searching for.
