 My machinist friend is going to make a couple of these in 6061-T6 heat treated aluminum, would anyone else be interested? I was thinking they'd cost $85-$100.

 Does anyone know if all the toilet bowl oscillators used the same neck? The example in the picture was loaned from another member for me to measure, as mine was shattered in many pieces.

 It looks like my Dayton 12" toilet bowl neck.  Diehl also made a toilet bowl but its neck is 100% different.

 Great Mike! Two are spoken for, two more have interest, so I will have four left. Of course we can make more if the need is there. Pancake wall mount bracket fan "knuckles" are next...

 Notice the neck top left, with the steel rod in it. That is so the neck can be put in a 4 jaw chuck on the lathe, the rod will register to the live center, to turn the round part under the threaded tab that connects to the oscillator link. A lot of setups to make this seemingly simple part. John is enjoying this project, and is amazed that so many of us are interested in these old relics. If y'all have other parts that need replicating, let me know. We are going to do G.E. pancake wall-mount knuckles next, and then maybe pancake switches.

 Pretty happy with how these came out. Note the jig for the holes to adjust the tilt angle. He only did the first so far. Do you guys want all the holes? John had a concern that that was a weak point, and maybe we should do only every other one. Let me know before we procede. We can finish them right away and start shipping.

 I have already shipped a few, but I want some feedback before I ship the rest. I did not have a working fan to test these on, and a broken sample to duplicate, so I want to make sure they are right before I ship the rest.  Problem guys. Mine does not swing back and forth easy as I think it should. I dug out the pieces of mine that was shattered, there is a steel ball in the bottom of the hole. I forgot about that as it has been a long time since I got my fan. Those who already have theirs, I'll pay the shipping both ways and drill them deeper and put the ball in there. Big apologies, this is my first attempt at this and I was flying a little blind.

 Bear with me, got a bit more to do. There should be a ball bearing riding in a hardened steel cup. John will get some oil-hardening drill rod tomorrow. The cups will be heat treated to withstand wear from the ball bearing. We are thinking we should drill the hole a few thou. deep, and send shims in case these old fans vary. He has a shim punch and can crank them out no problem.

 John will test the hardness and heat treat accordingly. This is probably overkill, considering these new necks are heat treated aluminum, not pot metal. We want to make the highest quality replacement possible. Thanks for being patient!

 Update. John got the ball bearings, and the drill rod should arrive tomorrow, so the plan is to machine and heat treat this weekend, and ship next week.
