This is on Facebook Marketplace: https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/263946688277054 Maybe you could convince the seller to ship only the Dayton blade iron? ![]()

I tried to contact him a couple weeks ago, I need four of the crescent shaped irons myself.

You can cast them in iron? I have some originals.

Aren't they brass? I was thinking I'd have them cast, and my friend can machine them. We made some Dayton T.B. oscillator necks a while back, no big deal. He has CNC equipment at his house, retired tool and die maker. I could probably even hand-shape them in brass, and have a machined shaft put in if I was only to do a handfull...I'm up pretty late if you want to give me a call. 281-216-2775

I have some iron ones and some brass ones. Would it make sense to 3-D scan one, clean up the CAD, and CNC some?

My nicest set, on this fan appear to be original, are well made, and are cast iron. ![]() My other Dayton has some brass, some iron. The iron in the upper right looks original, and the other three look reproduction. ![]() I’m restoring a Dayton Midge as a custom, and need a nice set of irons that are the same size, weight, and angle. ![]()

Were the original parts cast iron or brass? If we get some cast at a foundry, then machined, who would want some?

Dan: Do you have catalog pages for the “oakleaf” and the “midge”? What years were they produced?

This Dayton is on eBay. Perhaps the oak leaf cluster was a later modification. ![]() ![]()
