I have a 1972 Sears hassock fan with the wood grain finish. The blade is missing the hub!  :shock:If anyone has a junker version of this fan with a good blade please let me know. I need to buy a blade for mine

I had two of the Fresh'nd Aire Versions of that fan at one time, I don't think I saved the blade from mine unfortunately because mine the speed coil shorted out and almost caused a fire so I scrapped it out including the blade, I do still have the motor from the fan though.

My dad bought  the same  fan new. Its been  in the attic for about  30 years. The blade is held on by rubber like a 50s ge strap fan and his fan was in the same  shape is yours.       So today I took  it down and I put a rubber  grommet  in  the  blade. I then used nylon spacers between the  motor  shaft and the rubber  grommet In the blade .  I  put two fender  washers  on  both sides of the blade . I then  used  what was left of a 10"  vortalex  hub to hold it together.
