The fan is still available for sale. I will mark it as sold if and or when it sells.

I was told that this may be a 1903. I am not a cake expert so you be the judge. Here is the type and form

It is a 1903, but a later one.

I'm getting it cleaned up. Not really polishing the brass. Just getting rid of the house paint flecks and making the paint shine again

That's a super nice fan and you are doing a nice job cleaning it up. Here is my 1903. These are very elegant fans. You should keep it as they are hard to come by.

I am also in the process of restoration on a Westinghouse double lever which is getting to be expensive. I will probably have $1300 into that fan when it is finished. Total cost of restoration on this one so far is one can of elbow grease.

I took the fan over to Neal Klanns house this morning. We pulled the back cover off and used compressed air to blow the dust bunnies out. We also dabbed a little grease on the end of the bearing and put some liquid insulation on the wires coming from the back of the terminals

The bearing is also in excellent condition. No play at all. Other than the threadbare wires going to the motor terminals it has a clean bill of health

Nice clean fan in excellent condition! These fans are so well made and great runners. Also one of the few fans with five separate distinct speeds.

Third variant of 1903....other than the form letter, identical to the 1904.

The pictures I posted are the best I have.If you need help reassembling yours just start a thread in the pre50 section. Post hi resolution photos of your fan and explain where you are having trouble. I'm sure that you will get plenty of good advice in that way
