Just picked up another batch...100 double wing pointers.  These will be the last ones.  Will post pictures in a bit.  Same price $20 shipped.

I'm glad these are going to people who enjoy these Kidney fans. While not terribly expensive fans...I feel these fans have a special place and deserve to be resurrected. The more I work on the gearbox...the more I realize how neat they are. They are definitely more interesting than the plain square box.

All cut up.  Don't have time to file the bottom.  Will leave that up to you.  I will sort out the flaw ones and toss those out.

Those look great! Kind of makes me wish I had a kidney missing a pointer. If the flawed ones are at all useable though, I'd hate for them to be tossed out. Eventually once the good ones are bought, there will probably be members who would be happy to have the flawed ones.

Got them all clean and decided to try polish one with red rouge.  Wanted to see what it would look like.  Note the original one one left will yellow with time.  The bottom need to be run through with belt sander to level it.  The hole will need a slight filing for a snug fit.

I got the picture from a badge that was made by a member years ago...  I photographed it and blew it up to clock size and it is hanging on my wall... Who made it i do not know but I believe it looks like a sand casting...

It looks real good for sand casting. I tried sand casting in my early stages...turn out horrible. Could not get the sand to bind.

This badge when held up to a factory made badge is obviously not as good but looks great on my ECK non-oscillator!

Also the "trade mark" above the ECK on the badge is a tough thing to mold clearly...

For sand casting...it is good. Sand casting to capture details is real hard to do! I suspect the early ECK was cast using lost wax...I see remnant artifacts of where the blade was used to cut the badge. I think I posted this early in the badge thread for the ECK.

Notice the straight markings...these are left behind from blade cutting the molding.  I also see this but covered it up by cutting on the back side instead on mine.

Here is an original ECK provided by Rick Powell

I'll cast more if there is a demand after the sale. The hard part was making the mold...that is done and I kept it just in case. Thanks to Chris Campbell for suggesting silicon mold....saved me a ton of work!
