It appears that when I said "sign up" it was a bit unclear. Once you reach the new home page, antiquefancollectors.com

NO NEED TO RE-REGISTER AS A MEMBER ON THE NEW HOME PAGE

Click the 3 bar menu in the upper right corner.

Select NEW FORUM

Then you can register with you real name, no aliases and email address. You should get an email to verify your info.. once that is complete, you should be good to go.

Thanks to all that have replied in order to help those that have had trouble.....

With everything new, there will be growing pains.... but I think once you get the hang of it, you will love it.

If you have concerns or the desire to post negatively regarding this new process, please  use the DM feature to contact me, Jamie or anyone else on the board.

Thanks....

Annie

It may not be obvious what the "three bar icon" is, so look at the following picture where the red arrow points at the upper right corner. Clicking on that will open a menu with the New Forum option. Alternatively, clicking here should go to the new forum:

Well. I'm glad we have a new forum because this one is very tired. I've tried three times to fix the double image above and it keeps double posting the image. Sorry about that.

Wow… Thank you David! That will certainly help to identify what I was talking about… Even now I know what I’m talking about…🤣 Perfect… I know that will be of great benefit

You're welcome!

As said, I'm thankful for new software. This one double posted the picture, and "preview" doesn't look like what is posted once you finalize it and save it. Finally got my post to look like I wanted it. It took 4 tries; one posting and three edits to get it right. That sort of frustration is what we are all looking forward to moving on from!

Direct message.. or private message…PM
Seems like it’s called something different on each site…I was thinking that when you sent a private message here it might’ve been called a direct message… Oh well basically contact me directly… If there’s a concern or an desire to post some thing that is in the negative room… That’s all I meant

I have seen at least four explanations of how we need to login to the new forum. I have not been able to login and I have talked to several others with the same problem

Would someone official please issue a statement about how the login process is INTENDED to work?

When the new site first launched I "signed up" as an existing member and was asked to pay $53 for annual dues which I did via PAYPAL. After clarification from Annie I "signed in" correctly. What becomes of my $53 dollars I paid?

There should be a blank reply form at the bottom of a particular page, that looks somewhat like this.Fill it in, then send.
