Wanted to buy working and complete AC Hunter brass bladed (and caged ideally) fan project but not basket case. No 16 inch models wanted. Would consider restored one if reasonably priced. Pretty please? Anyone?

Hi Douglas (or Doug?), Jim Humphrey here. I've got a Hunter 12" brass blade/ brass cage 12" non-oscillator fan that I'd like to sell. It's Badged as a Hunter and has a Hunter data plate, but it's really the GE made version of the BMY that Hunter just sold under their name. Hunter did a lot of that. But it's a really nice running fan with three separate and distinct speeds. I can't remember where I got it from, but I just spit shined the cage and badge and left the rest of it alone. If you want some projects on the fan, I'd say that one or more of the blades should be polished better, the paint could be buffed out better, and the speed numbers on the fan are transfers but weren't cleared over, so that would entail either careful buffing followed by clear or just remove the numbers, buff, replace the numbers, and then clearcoat. I'd like to get $450 for the fan, plus shipping. If you're interested, just PM me or give me a call, number's in the Member Directory. Thanks. Also, can post pics or send them via PM if you're interested. Jim Last edited on Sat Dec 11th, 2021 10:10 pm by Jim Humphrey |

Hi Jim, I'm sorry I just saw your response to my WTB. Your fan sounds great however I just recently purchased a SMY version matching your description for about the same $. I will keep yours in mind however but for now at least I have my hands full. Message me a picture or two if you get a chance as who knows I may get that itch us fan folks share. Thanks again and Merry Christmas. Doug
